Arin Siefert

Full-Stack Web Developer

Biography

Hi there, I'm Arin Siefert! I'm a Full-Stack Developer based out of Waterloo, Ontario. I've been building software for over a decade and am passionate about creating meaningful digital experiences that delight users.

My journey into the world of coding began at STEM camps hosted by the University of Waterloo when I was just 9 years old. However I ended up discovering my true passion for programming in 2011 when I started modding Minecraft and taught myself Java. Since then, I've expanded my skills and knowledge, taking both computer science courses in high school as well as pursuing a diploma in Internet Applications and Web Development at Fanshawe College.

After my experience as a co-op student at OpenText Corporation, I continued to work there as a contract worker on an internal analytics site for one of their flagship products. After graduating high school, I took a gap year to explore my interests and gain new experiences before deciding to pursue further education in at Fanshawe College.

At Fanshawe, I graduated with a GPA of 3.96 (94%). With experience in both front-end and back-end development, I am proficient in a variety of programming languages and frameworks. I strive to create user-friendly applications that solve real-world problems and make a difference in people's lives. When I'm not coding, you can find me at the library, hiking, or playing video games with friends.
